Founder/Stylist

As the owner of The Hilt Salon, Trayce Griffin has poured herself into creating a one-of-a-kind salon experience for her clients. She has been in the industry for over 26 years with a dream of one day owning her own salon and with persaverence and her creative edge, that dream has come true. Trayce has extensive training in cosmotology, graduating from South Eastern School of Cosmotology in Charlotte and the Institute of Cosmotology in Killeen, Texas. Trayce has a true love of custimized hair color and signature blowouts and prides herself in bringing her clients inner beauty to the surface. Trayce has expertise in Dona Bella, Hair Laya, iTip, Keva Link, and Bellami hand-tied extensions and she is a Goldwell Master Color Technician and is also master certified in Pravana color. In 2013, Trayce had the honor of being invited to the MTV Music Awards to style hair for musicians and celebrities in attendence. Trayce has a love for all things pop culture, music, and calls herself a "foodie" but her greatest loves are her two children, Griffin and Tucker, along with the newest addition to her family, grandson Palmer.

Junior Stylist

Making connections is what it is all about for Ally. Nothing thrills her more than making clients feel beautiful and building lifelong friendships. Ally joined The Hilt team in June of 2021 as we opened our doors. While working, Ally completed her education at the Lancaster High Career Center for Cosmetology and graduated in May of 2023. Ally found her passion for hair and the beauty industry at a very young age and knew she would one day work in this field. Ally is currently a Salon Assistant and is excited to expand her knowledge and education with The Hilt. In her spare time, Ally loves taking her adorable Goldendoodle pup, Bentley, to Pelican’s for a Pup Cup and enjoys spending time with her family and friends at the lake. 

Salon Assistant

Building confidence is what it’s all about for Salon Assistant, Ashton. She loves giving clients a confidence boost that allows them to express their personality and individuality through hair and makeup. Ashton joined The Hilt Team in April of 2023 while completing her education and attaining her license through the Lancaster High Career Center for Cosmetolgy. She is currently working as a Salon Assistant and is excited to expand her knowledge and education here at The Hilt. In her spare time, Ashton enjoys playing and spending time with her nieces and nephews and loves to listen to music. 

Lead Apprentice

The hard working and smart Savannah joined The Hilt team in June of 2022. Savannah is currently attending the Kenneth Schuler School of Cosmetology and will graduate in the summer of 2023. Growing up in her Aunt’s salon, Savannah was exposed to the beauty industry at a very young age. As a child, she loved going there and talking to clients and sweeping the floors of all the hair. It is there where her passion began; doing makeup and styling hair. She felt she had found her creative outlet in life and found satisfaction in making people feel good about themselves. Savannah has achieved many certifications including Redken Color, Dermalogica, Sharkfin, and lashes. Savannah considers herself and jack of all trades and loves spending time with her friends and family. In her spare time, you can catch her pulling for her favorite hockey team, Charlotte Checkers, or at the local rodeo in the off-season! 

Stylist

Exceeding her client’s “Hair Dreams” is what is all about for stylist, Carlee! Nothing thrills her more than to have her client leave her chair feeling more beautiful and confident than they did when they first sat down. Carlee has been in the haircare industry for over 9 years and achieved her Cosmetology license while attending high school. Carlee is a Goldwell Master Colorist Technician, certified in Bellami Hair Extensions, and Schwarzkopf Professional completing her Blonde Me certification through Behind The Chair University. Carlee loves her craft and specializes in cutting amazing short hairstyle looks for her clients. She also thrives on creating custom colorizations and blonding. Carlee has always had a passion for hair care which was evident at a very young age when she styled her very first “stacked bob” on her sister’s brand new American Girl Doll. Carlee is a self-proclaimed “Snack Officionado” and says her go-to snack are snapped Cheez-it's with Cajun Crab dip. She says you will not be disappointed! Carlee is newly married and has two gorgeous children, Ava and Landon plus three step children. 

Sylist

You won’t visit the salon without encountering the bubbly and personable Kalea. She finished her education with the Kenneth Schuler School of Cosmetology in 2021 and is now a licensed stylist. Kalea has a passion for hair color and she truly enjoys the science behind the chair. Nothing thrills her more than dissecting and understanding how to formulate the perfection concoction for her client’s hair type. In addition to Kalea’s education, she is Goldwell Master Colorist Technician and is certified in all five methods of Bellami Hair Extensions. Kales is also trained and certified in Pravana Color and Redken Color. Kalea loves all things pop culture and is a self-proclaimed aficionado. 

Stylist

The beautiful and talented Paula joined The Hilt girls in March of 2023. Paula is a seasoned Stylist with over 18 years in the beauty industry. She prides herself on being a good listener and constantly receives compliments from her clients for listening and giving them exactly what they are looking for. Paula has owned a salon and holds licenses in both South Carolina and North Carolina. She is certified in Goldwell color application and is anxious to expand her education with The Hilt team. Paula specializes in Razor cuts and loves any color service! When not behind the chair, Paula enjoys spending time with friends and family. Her greatest accomplishment in life are her 3 amazing children! 

Stylist

The sweet and soft-spoken, Savannah, has been in the industry for over 6 years. Savannah specializes in customized hair color, hair extensions, make-up application, & formal stylings for special events. Always striving to go above and beyond, Savannah’s goal is to ensure that each of her clients feel refreshed and renewed after their appointment. Savannah loves learning new techniques and is always seeking more knowledge in the hair care industry. She recently became a Goldwell Master Colorist Technician. In her spare time, this simple girl loves to travel and see her favorite artists in concert. 

Waxologist, Lash Technician, & Esthetician

You won’t want to miss the sweet and bubbly Erica when you visit salon. Born and raised in Lancaster, Erica has been in and out of the beauty industry for over 13 years and we are happy that she has returned to her roots here at The Hilt. Erica specializes in Waxology and is certified in Brazilian Waxing. From arms, to legs, to toes, Erica can help with all of your body waxing needs. In addition to waxing, Erica is certified in Lash Extensions, Brow Tint, and Brow Lamination. Erica thrives on making her clients feel relaxed and comfortable, giving them an exceptional experience! Erica is very involved in her church, loves to spend time with friends and family, shopping, and loves anything Christmas! Her pride and joy are her two son’s, Nash and Ace, and husband Cody! 

Nail Technician

One of the greatest gifts for Christine, better known as Chrissy at the salon, is the one-on-one time she spends with her clients and building personal relationships with them. Chrissy has been in the industry for over 19 years and she always strives to create a relaxed and pampered experience for each client. Graduating from Sussex County Technical School in New Jersey, Chrissy has vast experience in all nail care but her specialties are acrylic overlay and gel nail polish manicures. She is also certified in Reflexology and in Core Sunless from Norvell University. Chrissy is a fantastic cook, has a love of 70’’s music, and an even bigger love of 80’s movies. She has two daughters, Hailey and Rylie, along with her fur baby and proclaimed salon mascot, Bruce.
